The Utility of Non-Existence

about

The song was inspired by Lao Tzu’s poem of the same name, that can be found in “Tao Te Ching”… The song and the video perfectly (and to a certain degree - nihilistically) describe and convey what I (and I’d imagine most of you) have been feeling about Humanity and the negative impact we continue to leave on this planet. Wars, pollutions, dangerous beliefs and ideologies - dangerous ideas… Fear, in the absence of love can lead to some devastating results - as we can all see in real time through a phone screen, whenever we feel like it. We continue to make the same mistakes over and over again, only learning from History that we learn nothing from it.

If you watch the lyric video, you may notice that the man does not appear in it. We may have to come to terms with the fact that we, as a species may not (and the way things are going, will not) be a part of this planet’s future. Bad for us but ultimately, good for the rest of the planet. Hence the title “The Utility of Non-Existence”.
